BRIEF PROFILE
Prahlad Joshi is a pure rural talent from Dharwad North. He has studied in K.S. Arts College, Hubli. He is the son of his father Shri VenkateshJoshi and mother Smt. Malati Joshi.
He was Member, Committee on Chemicals & Fertilizers. He was elected to 14th Lok Sabha in 2004.
He served as Member, Joint Parliamentary Committee on Wakf in 2006. He was Member, Committee on Transport, and Tourism & Culture in 2007.
He was also Hon. Chairman, Vijayanagar Education Society, Hubli; Board Member, Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries. He served as General Secretary, BJP, Dharwad District, from 1995-98; He held the position of President, BJP, and Dharwad District from 1998-2003. Some of his personal interests are reading, listening to Hindustani music.
He has written a book called “Abhivruddhiya sankalpa.. kramisida daari”, containing his achievements and contributions.
He has contributed immensely for the Hubli-Dharwad region and taken up several developmental activities in that area. He is also the present General Secretary for BJP Karnataka and plays active roles both in the Government and also in the party.
