ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಫೆ. 21 : ಉಡುಪಿ-ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾ.18ರಂದು ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ತನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ವಿ. ಸುನೀಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕಾರ್ಕಳ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಇವರು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜನತಾ ಯುವಮೋರ್ಚಾ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಮಾ.18, ಭಾನುವಾರ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು, ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಮಾ.21, ಬುಧವಾರ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಲಿದೆ.
ಅಜಾತ ಶತ್ರು, ಸಜ್ಜನ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಎಂದೇ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ. ವಿ.ಎಸ್. ಆಚಾರ್ಯ (ಡಾ. ವೇದವ್ಯಾಸ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ) ಅವರು ಇಂದು ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ನಿಧನ ಹೊಂದಿದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ 79 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ವೇದಿಕೆ ಏರುತ್ತಿದಾಗ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರಾಗಿ ಕುಸಿದುಬಿದ್ದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ನಗರದ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಹೋಂ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲಾಯಿತು. ಆದರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಫಲಕಾರಿಯಾಗದೆ ಕೊನೆಯುಸಿರೆಳೆದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಇಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ [...]
