Karnataka Samskruti Samrakshana Yojane
(Comprehensive Scheme for Preservation of Karnataka Culture and Traditions)
Objective : Conservation of heritage temples and preservation of unique Kannada Culture.
Target Group : Historic temples, forts and places of historic interest marking Golden Jubilee of creation of Karnataka

  • To conserve/revive hundreds of heritage temples and monuments across the state of Karnataka
  • To formulate a strategy to bring in PPP(Public-Private Partnership Project)

Karnataka Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation
(A Separate Corporation to implement Tribal Welfare Schemes)
Objective : To protect the interest of the Scheduled Tribes Population
Target Group : Scheduled Tribes account to 5% of total population of Karnataka

  • To form a Separate Corporation to implement schemes for development and welfare of Scheduled Tribes Population
  • A view to provide special priority for the welfare of ST’s
  • A special emphasis to develop women and entrepreneurial skills among the underprivileged tribes

Sandhya Suraksha
(Scheme to help the elderly in need)
Objective : To help the elderly who would have been deserted by their families in their old ages
Target Group : All eligible elderly people over the age of 65 years

  • To provide assistance to the elderly people who are deserted by their Children
  • A monthly pension of Rs.500 a month to help them meet their medical expenses
  • To start mid-day meal programme for the elderly as well with help of NGO and local bodies

Funeral Fund for the Poor
(Scheme to Grant Funeral Expenses to the BPL families)
Objective : To help families those who are in distress and unable to even meet the funeral expenses

  • As a humanitarian gesture, whenever there is a death in the family, especially to the BPL families, to provide financial assistance of Rs.1,000 same day

Abolition of Lottery
Objective : To ban all kinds of lotteries in the state.

  • To abolish all kinds of lotteries in the state of Karnataka
  • A step taken keeping in mind social harmony and financial distress faced by the poorer sections of the society due to addiction of lotteries
  • A loss of Rs.250 crores due to ban of lotteries covered by strengthening tax collection measures

Abolition of Arrack
Objective : To  ban manufacture and sale of arrack

  • A bold step taken for social security and reformation and interest of well-being of society
  • A long standing request of several Stree Shakti self help groups, spiritual leaders and individuals
  • A huge loss of revenue to the tune of Rs.2,000 Crores to be covered by strict implementation of tax collection measures and fiscal discipline
